The artisans mainly use mango wood in shades of black, oak and brown with lacquer, a type of polish that is used in its preparation process. Finally, chisels of different sizes and a lathing apparatus determine the different textures on its resplendent surfaces before color is applied to them.

Mangowood is handcrafted to resemble origami folds in this unique flower vase. Ten artisans work together to create this eclectic wooden vase, in its final stages the mango wood is coloured with a concoction of natural wood dye and alcohol, texturing it in shades of brown.
